Moving Marketing

At StudioVB, we are always happy to meet new clients and discover how we can help them with their design dilemma, design project, design issue or what have you! So, we’ve recently added a new way to reach out to our clients (or potential clients I should say) and just for a little fun, I have been calling it “moving marketing”!

I call it this for a couple reasons:

1. This particular marketing effort is literally on wheels, so that
   makes it moving!
2. Well, I suppose I have a thing for alliteration. =)

And, for an added bonus reason..

3. We hope it helps us “move” in the right direction. Ok, that was cheesy!

Anyway, if you haven’t figured it out by now, our new moving marketing thing is better explained simply as a decal on the back windshield of our vehicle. Speaking of, remember back when we bought the car. It’s already 6 months old – they grow up so fast. Tear.

So anyway, as for the design of the decal, we wanted to keep it simple yet informative and, of course, easy to read (from a distance or moving)! We wanted to include our logo, our main services and how to find us – our web address and phone number. So, we came up with this!

Then we gave a call to our local sign shop and had them whip one out for us. It wasn’t very long before a nice guy showed up with our decal, ready to install on the vehicle.

So, of course, I grabbed my camera to document the play by play, since I thought I might share it with you! Oh and I did tell the sign guy he might end up on my blog, so no worries there.

This picture doesn’t really do it justice. It was a really sunny day, so in this picture, I basically got a reflection of the tree! But, nonetheless, it looks great in person. We are really happy with it. The nice guy did a nice job (the second time)! Yep, it did take two times to get it right. Like I said, it was so hot this morning, that when the first decal was being laid out and he was still tweaking the crookedness, it immediately stuck to the hot glass and tore.. ouch! So, he crumpled it up and had to start again.. ugghhh.

But, overall, it was a really simple process and not very costly. So, I’m excited about it! And, bonus – it’s supposed to last about 7 years. That’s a pretty good advertising investment, I’d say!
